So, you’ve just received your beautiful handmade Moroccan brass faucet. It’s heavy, it’s golden, and it’s ready to transform your kitchen. But now comes the big question: How do I install it?

The good news is that although our faucets are crafted using traditional methods, they are designed to fit modern plumbing standards (US/UK/EU). Whether you are a DIY enthusiast or hiring a professional plumber, this guide will ensure a smooth installation.

1. Preparation: What’s in the Box?

Before you start, make sure you have everything ready. A typical Moroccan bridge kitchen faucet package from our workshop includes:

  • The main bridge faucet body.
  • Two handles (Hot and Cold).
  • Mounting hardware (nuts and washers).
  • Flexible water supply lines (standard 1/2″ or 3/8″ depending on your region).

2. Step-by-Step Installation Process

Step 1: Shut off the water Always start by turning off the water valves under your sink. Open the old faucet to drain any remaining water in the pipes.

Step 2: Position the Bridge Place the solid brass faucet through the pre-drilled holes in your countertop or sink. Because it’s a bridge faucet, you typically need two holes (usually 8 inches apart—standard “center-to-center” distance).

Step 3: Secure the Faucet From underneath the sink, slide the washers and mounting nuts onto the threaded shanks. Tighten them by hand first, then use a wrench to ensure the faucet doesn’t move. Pro Tip: Don’t over-tighten, as you don’t want to crack your sink or countertop.

Step 4: Connect Water Lines Attach the flexible supply lines to the hot and cold shanks of your brass bridge faucet. Connect the other ends to your home’s shut-off valves.

Step 5: Flush the System Before using it for the first time, remove the aerator (the tip of the spout) and run the water for 1 minute. This flushes out any debris or air bubbles from the pipes.

3. Professional vs. DIY

While many of our customers install their Moroccan brass fixtures themselves, we always recommend hiring a licensed plumber if you are not comfortable with plumbing work. A professional can ensure that everything is leak-free and perfectly aligned with your luxury kitchen renovation standards.

4. Post-Installation Tip

After installation, wipe down the faucet with a dry cloth. Since it’s unlacquered brass, your fingerprints from the installation might start the patina process immediately—this is normal and part of the beauty!
